Scrutineering

Pre Race Scrutineering for Power Craft and Paddle Craft will be held at Hinds Reserve, Bayswater between 8:00 am and 11:00 am on Sunday 25th July, 2010. Entries with at least one entrant living within 200 kilometres of the Perth GPO must be present for Pre Race Scrutineering which will be held from 10am to 10.30am. 

Entrants who do not attend Pre Race Scrutineering and are not exempt under Regulation 30 above may arrange for “late scrutineering” subject to the approval of the Scrutineer and the payment to NADA of the fee of $55.00.

The Scrutineer is a ‘judge of fact” and a protest may not be made against their decision.

Department of Planning and Infrastructure (Marine Safety) (DPI) staff will check Craft for compliance with DPI regulations.

Craft that fail Pre Race Scrutineering must be re-scrutineered prior to the Descent.

Competitors are required to submit their Craft for scrutineering during the Descent if deemed necessary and will have their elapsed time adjusted to reflect their time “off the water”.

The Best Prepared Entry will be judged at Pre Race Scrutineering.

A representative for each entry must attend a pre-race briefing at Pre Race Scrutineering.

Swim Tests will NOT be conducted at Pre-Race Scrutineering.
